Originally part of the Mysore University and Bangalore University, the institute later got affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. BMCRI Admission
Admission is based on entrance exams. 50 percent of seats are filled through the state entrance exam and the rest through the all India exam.
Admission to MBBS will be based on Karnataka common entrance and aptitude test and All India exam.
Admissions to B.Sc Nursing & M.Sc. Nursing will be done based on the RGUHS rules & regulations.
Admissions to MD/MS program will be provided based on 50 % through state entrance exam and 50 % through all Indian entrance exams.
RGUHS conducts Postgraduate entrance exam for admissions in DM & M.Ch.
For admissions to Diploma courses, Post graduate entrance exam conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and All India entrance exam.
How to Apply?
- Submit forms with a demand draft of Rs 550, for candidates who passed 12th in Karnataka, and Rs 650 for students who passed 12th outside Karnataka.
- Appear for the state level medical entrance exam or the all India entrance exam.
- For the counseling, appear with a copy of the result from the entrance
- Seat allotment letter from the Director General of Health Services or Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences is required for post-graduate admission
- Post-graduate students need to also submit a bond of Rs 100
- Internship completion certification and medical registration certificate should be presented at the time of admission
BMCRI Facilities
- Hostel- The college has hostels for boys and girls. While boys have hostels only for undergraduate students, girls can avail of this facility even at the postgraduate level. There are 300 seats in the boys hostel and 88 in the girls hostel.
- Research Center- There is a central research center. The research laboratory can be used at nominal costs. Services like Karyotyping of blood and bone marrow are some of things done at this central research centre.
- Library- There is a two-storey library. Apart from the general library, there is a section with books on SC and ST which can be used only by SC and ST students. Caste certificate needs to be provided to avail this facility.

BMCRI MBBS Admission 2022
In order to seek admission in MBBS programme in BMCRI, the candidate needs to appear for the NEET UG. Students can check the eligibility criteria along with the number of seats available at BMCRI.

Selection Process: NEET score is the only criteria to secure admission in the MBBS programme offered by BMCRI. BMCRI conducts its own counselling for 85% of the total available seats with respect to the good NEET score. For rest of the 15% seats (All India based), the centralized counselling is conducted. It is regulated by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

BMCRI offers Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses in Nursing. Admission to B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing courses are done through the Entrance Exam conducted by RGUHS, Karnataka. Duration of the B.Sc. course is four years including internship while M.Sc. course comprises of 2 years. Apart from the basic eligibility criteria, students have to fulfill the following conditions:
- SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidate should have registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife

Bangalore Medical College offers several postgraduate courses in Doctor of Medicine (M.D), and Master of Surgery (M.S). It also provides super speciality courses like Doctor of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch).

Selection Process: Admission to these paramedical (Diploma & Certificate) programme is performed on the basis of State level entrance conducted by the Paramedical Board. On the basis of entrance marks, selection committee invites the shortlisted students for the counselling round.
Bangalore Medical College (BMCRI) Application Process 2022
BMCRI follows a different application process for MBBS & PG Medical courses. For MBBS programme, students can apply on the basis of NEET score. Application for B.Sc. and M.Sc. nursing, PG and Super Speciality courses is discussed below:
Application for admission to these three courses can be submitted online by visiting the official website of RGUHS. The candidate will then need to fill in all the details and pay the registration fee online using a debit or credit card.
The Registration Fee is INR 2,500 for General and OBC Category and INR 625 for SC/ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates. After that, a printout of the filled-in application need to be taken out and signed by the candidate. Finally, the candidate needs to send it to the university along with the required documents.
